Resolved Question: Px90 Biggest Scam since Richard Simons video’s? Anyone agree that knows anything about fitness.?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Its not common knowledge apperantly that, doing the same thing over and over becomes a routine, but, the video is a waste of money considering it just tells you that and gives you some things to try, when you can get creative and do that on your own for free. Lmao, Its a scam to me, in the sense that it points out the obvious to people rather then lets them fall into the trap which in my opinion is; *COUGH* if you watched the infomercial, then you should know what to do. In all honesty, it mugs people of money that could be spent on equipment not phony dvd’s that tell you what you already know.

I know it works, lmao, becuase I’ve seen people use it, but it is unecessary tool to doing the sculpting and changing of the body.
Everyone thats lifted weights for any length of time, with skill, can tell you that your not going to get strong tricepts by only benching and biceps by only playing with dumbbells. Fact of the matter is Px90 pointed out the obvious and most people that didn’t realise that are and may be lessened in the head..
is it a scam?

Resolved Question: Why do US fans always use the same excuse?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Everytime they lose or don’t play at the level they were expected they always say, “its because we are a young nation in this sport,” and etc….Let me tell you something that is the lamest excuse ever. Let me put it this way, how did the Mexican players from 1934 help the Mexican players from today? In no way at all. What matters is the current players you have and how you develop their talent. And for that reason the US should always be a “strong” team since they have the resources, (academies,
fitness centers, camps, equipment, knowledgeable instructors etc..), that many nations don’t so that right there is already an advantage to develop your current players far more than other nations have the possibility of doing. There is the fact that you need the talent to be able to develop it but there are many youth players in the US with talent and the resources to develop it. Mexico started developing resources for the youth in the 80’s so then you can say they are also a young nation in this sport. So don’t come around with the excuse that you are a young nation in football since you have far more resources than other nations and its the how you develop your current players, that truly matters.
Another example look at the Olympics, why do you think the US is always a top winner of medals? Simple, they provide the majority of
their athletes with the resources required. Unlike in Mexico since football is the number one sport any other athlete besides footballers don’t have the adequate resources.
Well I don’t know if that is the only thing that matters. The way I see it as long as you are a
consistent protagonist in every tournament you participate then you are recognized as a strong team. For example Argentina hasn’t won the W.C. since 86 but they are always a country who is in the tops spots in any tournament they play in, at any level.
I am not trying to be racist or stereotypical but its quite obvious that the majority of African Americans are born with an athletic physique.
DONTTREAD22: That is the problem that you and many Americans have. Your international failure doesn’t matter matter since you manage to defeat Mexico in your own territory. I am quite positive when Mexico beat Brazil in Copa America 2007, manged 3rd place in the same tournament, won the u-17 World Cup, and etc.. they weren’t thinking of the last time they beat or lost to the US.
Also it goes to show what a mediocre team the US is since they find joy in beating a big team like Mexico so that joy is a fact that you recognize Mexico is a powerhouse. However before you start saying its the same case with Mexico, you’re wrong. The main reason we find a joy in beating the US is because of the political rivalry between the two when it comes to the land lost against you and the problems with immigration. That’s the way we see it, its not because we think, “yay we beat the US, a powerhouse in football!” If that’s what you thought then you were mistaken.

Read the Davie Darko answer and he is not the first or last one I have heard/read say this. “We’re still babies in this sport.” and etc…
BJMx : You are so ignorant. Don’t judge me and say I am talking crap on the US. What crap did I talk I pointed out the fact of the resources. You are just stating, “crap.” If you have, which you haven’t, read my answers on other question I do show, “mutual respect” most likely except for Dynamo18. So before you go saying things that have nothing to do with my statement do some research.

“who’s in the Olympics and going to the Confederations cup, so instead of asking for our “supposed”" excuses why don’t you explain your recent ones on bad results against us.”

Thats exactly what I said..READ! While you’re bragging about you recent local victories against us we are aiming for big things..Go to the Confederations Cup and win it like how we did against Brazil. Go to the Olympics and win that. Instead of saying all them words shows us some victorious actions! And Peru must be ashamed of you.
Playmaker: “Excuses for what?” For not achieving anything in a tournament besides
the Gold Cup. For everytime the US loses
against a powerhouse team. You stated that
Mexico has lost against Honduras, Guatemala, and the US well let me tell you
Mexico is a strong team bu we aren’t GODS
either we will eventually lose to “weaker” teams from times to times. And let me tell
you something only teams/fans with mediocre
minds boast about winning friendlies. I was
talking about beating Brazil in official tournaments.
Playmaker: I never said being better than
Brazil but beating them, in an official
tournament because you beat a nation
doesn’t mean you’re better than them,
so that means I never said Brazil and
Mexico are on the same level
US Fans: I am aware that the MLS is a young league but “soccer” in the US isn’t. You had different leagues before even though they failed you still gained experience from them because they were a failure with the people of the field it doesn’t mean it was a failure in the field. And if there are people in the US such a coaches who have no excellent experience in the game of soccer you have the money to bring in a European who knows what is going on. Why do you think Mexico hired Sven? For the fact that we are tired of getting the same mediocre results in the W.C. with Mexican coaches or other Latinos so we brought in a European who’s been in the system for most of his life, and has a different point of view.
Tecun Numan: I beg to differ, Europe does make players increase their level of play for the simple fact that the best of the best play there. Messi wouldn’t have much competition in Argentina. They have talented players but at the same time quite average players. While in Europe you have the best of the best competing for a spot on a day to day basis, and that increases your level.

Resolved Question: How to get motivated to go to the gym?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

Okay, I signed up for the club Anytime Fitness, which I really regret, been paying out my butt and haven’t been using the membership like I should. At first it was okay, but they have very limited fitness equipment, and then more members started joining, and of course it’s anytime fitness, and they’ll stay on the equipment for an hour or more if they want. So, I realized the only time to go to be able to breath and use a machine is at 4 a.m. no later! And which I’m not a morning person, And, I don’t go to bed until 10pm or later, since I work until 9pm. Anyway to get me to get motivated to get up that early to go work out? And, not be so tired? Thanks!

Resolved Question: Is it possible to do weight training at home that is comparable to a gym?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

At my apartment complex, I have access to many cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, & stationary bikes). However, they do not have anything for weight training. I know how important it is to combine cardio and weight training so I joined a gym. I currently belong to LA fitness, and I absolutely hate it. As a college student, it is the only gym in my price range, but I am really unhappy with the place. The lines for the equipment are ridiculous. It can take up to 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Also, I feel really uncomfortable in the weight training section because it is mostly men. Not to mention, many people at the gym have no clue what they are doing and will spend 40 minutes doing squats or hours on one bench. Because of this, I am not able to use machines, weights, and benches I want to use.

Is it possible to do weight training at home that is comparable to weight training at a gym? I do have a strong knowledge about proper weight training. I own adjustable dumbbells at home that go up to 25 pounds and a jump rope. The gym at my apartment complex also has an adjustable bench. Will I be missing out on a lot of exercises by not having access to some of the machines? I have a petite frame and my goal is to become more toned and strong. Living in an apartment I do not have the space for large equipment, and I also can not afford it. However, I would be willing to spend money on other types equipment (such as a medicine ball) that could further help my fitness goals. I am worried that if I cancel my gym membership and weight train at home I will not be able to see the results I want to see.
Thanks for all of your advice - I really appreciate it!

I guess a major concern of mine is that I don’t have all the equipment, a ton of different weights, or barbells. Can I make-do with the little equipment I have now, or do I need to make other purchases?

Resolved Question: will using this equipment help me lose weight and tone up???

what exactly will it do to my body and what should I do?

Resolved Question: I got in a car accident a month ago, and get tired easily because of it…now I’m out of shape. Exercise help?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

At the end of June, I was in a car crash. I’ve been getting a lot better since, but, I find that I still get tired very easily doing physical activity. It’s been getting better, but, as a result of my lessened physical activity, I have been getting noticeably out of shape. As expected, I no longer have the muscle definition and strength I had before.

I’d like to do some things, but working out still causes some pain. I can do curls and some such weightlifting alright, but I cannot do things like situps and pushups, and have trouble with a few stretches.
I used to have pretty defined abs, now I look to have a small gut. I have a healthy diet and watch what and how much I eat, as well, so, it shouldn’t be much of a factor.

About 2 years ago, I lost a lot of weight, so, maintaining my physical fitness has been important to me. Situps and such were a big part of that because I could do them home in my room at any time, without going to a gym to use their weights. I have some freeweights at home, as well.

Anyhow, my goal for the summer was to gain 10 pounds of muscle, but due to my accident I have since lost 8 pounds, probably of…well, muscle.

I’d like to do what I can in the remaining 5 weeks of summer, but, at this rate, besides doing what little lifting I can at the gym, I don’t know how.
So, it’s not a big deal, I can put up with just not going to the gym and such, but, my new summer goal is to at least get somewhat toned again, and hopefully that may speed up my recovery as well (I have basically no endurance running and riding a bike - a 30 minute bike ride will have me tired for hours, now).
What’re some practical replacement exercises for situps and pushups that I can do at home, without equipment?

Resolved Question: Are kids allowed to use the fitness center on "Liberty of the Seas?"?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

I am going on a cruise with my mom this saturday and was wondering if children are allowed to go in the fitness center and use the equipment

Resolved Question: Does anyone know about the fitness equipment at Qua Baths & Spa at Caesar’s (Atlantic City)?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

I was wondering if anyone has been to the fitness room and Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars in AC. Their webpage just says they have a new fitness room, which has natural light and a bay window. They dont say anything about what is included in the fitness room or the quality of the equipment. I assume they have a few treadmills, but does anyone know if they have weight machines? If so what kind? Are they good? AC’s hotel gyms tend to not be the best. Before I pack everything, I would like to know that I will use it :) Lizz K. Thank you for the web pages. I’ve already viewed them, but thank you for taking the time to find them.

Resolved Question: How to make a personal fitness plan?

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

I’m 19 years old and I really would like to get more fit. I’m 5′3″ and currently weigh 102 pounds. I used to dance, but since I’ve stopped I’ve lost a lot of weight (probably muscle) and I’d like to get that back.

I’m currently not working and won’t be leaving for school for another month, so I could workout on a daily basis. I also don’t have money to join a gym or buy a bunch of fancy equipment.

Could anyone help me put something together?
