Resolved Question: Anyone whos used bowflex treadclimber, is it worth the money, is it better than a regular treadmill/eliptical?

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Im looking into purchasing a treadclimber, and I have read some reviews that said that it was too expensive for what it is worth, and that it only goes up to 4 mph, you aren’t able to expand your legs as far, etc. For those who own one, please let me know if I should buy one, and is it really better than any other treadmill/eliptical out there, and if not, what would you recommend. Serious answers only please. Thanks!

Resolved Question: I want to go on a serious diet, to lose about 50 pounds. Anyone wanna review and critique my plan?

Okay, everyday i would probobly drink about 5 bottles of water, and then at night have some green tea. I want to consume about 1000-1200 colories. A typical day would include:
Breakfast(8:00)- Healthy cereal, dry
snack(10:00): a special K bar or 100 calorie pack or a fruit or a tigers milk bar
Lunch (1:00): about 5 whole wheat crackers and a string cheese
4:00- a salad w/ some type of meat (Not meat overload, but some meat like tuna, chicken or steak) and balsamic dressing.
Dinner (7:00)- a Lean cuisine
(some fruit)
(9:00)- green tea

As for excersice, i wanted to workout for about two hours everyday on either the tredmill, eliptical, or both. And on the weekends workout for three hours a day.

Is this an okay plan? I am overweight, and i would love to lose most of my weight before the summer starts! I am 16 years old, weight about 175, am 5′2, and want to weigh 125. The summer starts in about five months! Could i pull this off for then?

Has anyone used this model? I would like to get this one but can’t find any reviews on it. If you have this model or have tried it your opinion is greatly appreciated!
I prefer to exercise indoors so I can watch tv. I find I can last longer if my mind isn’t focused on how long I’ve been on the machine, calories burned etc. But that’s just me, lol!

Open Question: Which eliptical by NordicTrack or Proform is reliable, durable and quiet and is low cost?

I tried the Proform XP razor elliptical at Sears for $499 + tax and $100 - saw great reviews on it and then not so great.
