Voting Question: How do I take myself to the next level of physical fitness?
Monday, September 29th, 2008I am 6′-6″ and 210lbs. I have always been in good shape, partly because of genetics, and partly because of consistently working out. I’ve recently gotten engaged and my fiance has started dieting and is looking to buy a treadmill and start exercising. I always support her 100%, but I felt like she could use company. Since I don’t need to diet, I’ve decided to push myself to get to the best shape I can get in.
Since I have always worked out, I feel that it is going to take a lot for me to get to that next level. There is no substitution for hard work, but does anyone have any profession nutritional advice? Some training advice couldn’t help either. I am not apposed to taking shakes, and I already take a daily vitamin. I have a gym membership and some equipment at home as well. Give me the best you’ve got!
I have zero intention of working out with my fiance. I simply want to work out while she is working out and dieting so we can motivate each other, etc.
I am pretty well trained in weight lifting, etc. I was really just researching what I can do to push myself even further. If you’re going to start messaging me about protein drinks, and rest days, then don’t waste your time. I want specific circuits that you know work, etc. and specific vitamins that you know work. I want to gain some mass and get chiseled.
I never said I was looking to lose weight, either.
